Anyone have the measurements for the carriage bolts needed to secure the bed and the cab to the frame? thanks

Contact Roy Nacewicz. He has kits for both. Good guy to do business with.
He lurks on this site often. lol

I have dealt with Roy before. Love his stuff. I work for a hardware supplier and was hoping to get these bolts with my discount as I know they are probably a pretty big diameter and length. Not interested in the shipping cost.

Has anyone got the measurements or done this on their own?

the pennies you save ,,allright ,maybe a buck or two is well worth getting the bolts from Roy . he has been a great contact for me and my 39 pic-up build . just the vast knowledge he has on the early fords is worth talking to him , I have learned things I did not know about my truck . . IMHO this hobby/business is all about "connections " with people my bed bolts that came with my new wood blocks are 7/16 dia 4 pcs 3 1/2 long ,4 pcs 8 1/2 long fine thread ,,,,but these could be wrong ,I,ll check with Roy;) oh I just read you have dealt with roy befor , hope these measurments help

Yeah Roy is great. I work with him. When you are talking about Carriage bolts that size and shipping, I am saving more than pennies. I buy a lot of stuff from him. Some things you can do cheaper and with my situation thats what I have to do. Ebay is unreliable. I want someone who does restorations to tell me. Thanks guys

The middle two on each side have coach heads but a fine thread and are the right length to go through the cab floor and the wooden spacer and the frame, then have a washer and nut underneath.
The front ones are hex headed, and are longer to allow for a spring underneath. The shaft diameter is stepped so the spring cannot be crushed.
The rear ones are hex headed and extra long to allow for a spring.

Every bolt is quite specific and not a standard coach bolt. Ideally you need a serviceable used set or if Roy has them, buy them from him.

I bolted my 41 cab down so the bolts are not accessible to me now.

Here's a question: does anyone sell the correct springs for cab mounting?

Mart.
