I did the search...couldn`t find exactly what I was wanting. Just bought this 39 coupe and it may have an original pouch and tools. Anyone have a list/picture of what I am supposed to have and correct jack assy. 44,000 mile car, unrestored. Thank you

Here's a photo of the two bumper jacks used in 1939. One was made by Auscolift. It is by far the most common of the two. The body and base were painted drab green. The shaft was cadmium plated. The jack handle / tire bar was black.
The other one was made by Ryerson-Haynes. Cadmium shaft, black handle, black body and black base.

Other tools required were a screw driver, pliers, adjustable wrench, spark plug / cylinder head nut wrench, (2) open end wrenches and a lug nut wrench.
A burlap sack, NO Ford script and a vinyl pouch were also part of this kit.

Have recently taken delivery of an unbelieveable 39 deluxe coupe 29000 miles.
In tool compartment only found the folllowing:
A lug nut wrench along with a hessian sack with the Ford emblem on outter.
Was this sack for jack? There is a guy who does have tool kits for sale.
would be keen to source one for the car.
Thanks

Phil, The Ford script on sack is much later and incorrect for your '39. The sack, burlap, was indeed for the jack and handle.

Thanks for that clarification along with your info for initial poster which was very helpful for me. According to chassis Nos and Van Pelts info this was an early 39 year car.
