1939 Rear U-Bolt

I'd like input on reproduction u-bolts, are they rubbish or ok- who was supplier?

My 39pu rear u-bolts are shot, they are 5" long, 3.5" ctr to ctr.

I am not having any luck finding NOS or even used u-bolts.

I would keep looking for original (either good used or nos) the repros are junk. Been there done that.

if you have no luck finding original go to a nut/bolt supplier and ask or go to truck body mounting company and ask. I found mine at the local nut/bolt dealer-had to cut for length

Have you tried posting in the wanted forums? I've had good luck there in the past, I'm not sure if they are the same but I have a couple sets off a passenger car I'd sell, PM me and I will get you measurements, pics, and price.

Ray Nacewise in MI is the place to go for the correct bolts and hardware. Nor sure about the correct spelling but someone will have a number for him.

I started with him but he does not have the u-bolts, only the nuts. It was his advice that prompted my question.
