1939 Pickup Window Channel

In the procees of installing Windows in my 39 Pickup. I have a window channel Kit. For the side of the door there is 4 channels, now the 2 wider one do they go the front of the door. Why I ask looking at picture of metal glass channel for the bottom of the glass it shows the left door one with extension guide on the right side and the right door the extension of the leftside.

The wider beefier felt channels are inside the door closer to the hinges as the smaller felt channel is near the door handles. There's a thin metal tab on the bottom of both channels holders ( not in the kit) than keep the felt channels secure. The bend quite easily but don't break them!
