1939 Pickup new beginnings

I wanted to send out some before and after pictures of my 1939 Pickup project. It seems like it has been a long time coming, but now the reassembly can begin. However, my two pictures are about 4 MB which are too large to upload. I have seen other pictures from individuals and wonder how they were able to upload them as I would think the sizes would be about the same. I tried to compress (zip) the files and they did not compress substantially. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

hey kt I have the same problemwith posting pics . Don,t you have a younger brother thats computer savy ? sorry, really I take the pics and hit "preview" ,,then "edit' ,then "cut an crop" them to make them smaller and it somtimes works I just had my brother post pics of my 39 pic-up rebuild under "mikes pictures" a couple days ago . . You can also try to e-mail the pics to sombody who knows how to do this crap an have them post them for you ;) YES "I know " GOD forbid I learn myself ,, but I just get too friggin aggrevated an want to smash my computer ,, oh well good to here of another 39 truck builder ! ! ! an too think they used to call the 38-39s the ugly step sisters to the 35-6s an 7s :D mike p

Thanks for the tip Mike. Hopefully this will work and you can see where I am at. I had to adjust the pictures to make them smaller and I believe I did it. Thanks.

Forgot to mention the color is Bright Coach Maroon or as close as the paint company could produce. Ever forward. Now the reassembly can begin in ernest. Now just need some longer days and warmer temperatures.

KT, I use my wife's Nikon D60. Had problem's and found in the shooting menu the image size had been changed from "s" to "L". The "s" (1926 x 1296 pixels) works when I add a photo attachment.

MORE 39's, let's see um!!:D Nice pic's Kerry, was that an antenna on the passenger side in the first photo?

It was indeed the remants of an antenna. I had the hole filled. I don't know what I will do for a radio or sounds, but that is down the road.

Do you have any kind of photo editing software on your computer? If so, some where there under edit you should have a resize option. I have Arc Soft Photo Impressions that I use for this purpose.

Looks super Kerry ! did you do the cab yourself ? I,m at that piont now ,the cab is in old ratty grey primer now , and the insides still the fire-engine red ,,,I would like to do the whole thing in black or Washington blue . . getting ready to just rustolium the bottom black an mount it on the frame . YEA LETS START A 38-39 THREAD ! Mike P

go to photobucket.com. sign up free. upload any pic from your computor. once you upload a pic, you can click the box under whatever pic you want or even a bunch of pics at a time. one you click the photo or photos, a box opens up and gives you an option to format to forums such as this. it generates some sort of code and all you do is highlight the mumbojumbo , copy and paste into where you type this message. its really that easy. you can preview before you post which is a good idea. the only problem i have is you need a username and password. remembering the usurname and password is my biggest issue. cp

Hey KT, did you ever find some interior metal panels for your doors? I sent you a note a few weeks ago that I located some that were fairly decent? I didn't hear anything back, so I assumed you already had them. Then, I thought that perhaps I screwed up with my e-mail and you never received it, or your computer didn't recognize me and it went to SPAM. Please let me know if you got the parts you need. We've got to get all of these 39's back on the road.

The hard part's over when you get paint on it.
Now you can work on the reassembly and keep your hands clean!
