1939 Pickup floor mat or Substitute?

I need some help and/or info on a 1939 pickup rubber floor mat.

My truck is a good old driver with an honest farm & ranch patina inside and out. She's my cafe, post office and feed store ride.

It looks like our usual vendors want around $200 bucks for the '39 mat or they don't list one for 1939 at all.

I suppose $200 isn't totally unreasonable but I wondered if anyone had an alternative or had modified another year model to a reasonable fit? Any input would be appreciated! Thanks

Some of the resto upholstery supply businesses offer bulk rubber or vinyl by the yard with pyramid or rib configurations. LeBaron Bonney or Restoration Supply or Hampton Coach may have what you want. May not be authentic but the right choice can be perfectly "old timey"

I'm using early living room carpet. Plugs the airholes inthe winter and it was free. Save yer $200 bux for ice cream at the hop

I got some rubber matting from Tractor Supply. It is ribbed on one side and sort of pebble surface on the other. I got some el-cheapo indoor/outdoor carpet and made a pattern. Had to try it a couple of times. Then I used that pattern on the rubber matting to get the correct contours and it worked great. To compensate for the transmission hump, I simply extended the hump with a 2 x 10 cut to match contour of transmission cover, and extended it back to the front edge of the seat. Looks great, no wrinkling.

I got a 3x5 rubber backed door mat from lowes for 15$ put rubber side up and carpet side down knocked down road noise and looks great
