I am looking for a NOS, excellent used or excellent rebuilt 1939 Ford transmission. Early style 1938/early 1939 preferred but will consider late 1939 with double detent sifter and Blocker syncronizer. Needs to be ready to bolt in and guaranteed to work perfectly and good enough for a show car. Early style with or without shifter tower, later one needs to be complete. Will also consider a complete set of NOS gears for an early ******. Please let me know what you have. Thanks.

Contact Charlie Ny or Mac VanPelt. Both of these guys are reputable transmission rebuilders with lots of new and used parts.
If you are working on an all original car with matching numbers on frame and tranmission you may want to think about keeping the original serial numbered trans case and replacing all the internals with known good parts.

John, thanks for the reply. The ****** case is unnumbered so I guess an early service replacement part and I am looking at replacing it due to noise. On the Early V8 Forum I have people telling me that I should also check the rear end for noise which might be the cause.

Mike might have what you need. Have 39 with L/Z gears rebuilt. with open or closed drive shaft. reach me at tipper 52501 @yahoo.com or call at 641 682-6091 cliff.

Have 39 Mercury trans, complete with shifting tower and shifting lever. This tower is very nice, forks show no wear. Transmission itself thrust surfaces show no wear. Gears and bearings are all genuine Ford, but very good used that I removed from a side shift transmission. All the gears and bearings came from the same transmission, so have been married together for years. In reassembly, everything to spec on thrust tolerances. $725.00 shipping, pictures on request.
