anyone have any ideas on where to purchase a new glass kit for the 39 sedan? will need glass for sure, fogged out and craked up. found one kit on ebay for the glass alone, I dont think it included seals. Trying to find glass and possibly some chrome trim and definatly need a new gas tank.
damn being new to all of this!:D

Thanks for your time!

It's normally possible to get new flat glass cut locally from laminated.
They use your old glass as a pattern.

They can normally etch the appropriate safety mark in.

Thats what we can do here in the UK, it might be the same there.

Mart.

Charun, there is a post on 4-25 by klicker (original logo glass). Read that post. I'm in the same situation, taken my old glass to my auto glass shop and they matched my front winshield perfectly.

Being new like half of us, I would touch base W/Dick Spadaro who is on this web site. He is just another good encyclopedia of early V8 Fords and will help you out:D.

If there is a group for 39's get on that social group and ask questions and be a sponge.

Todd at Vintage Glass in Tolland Ct. has all the glass for early Fords and ships world wide. Do a search under "Vintage Glass" and give him a call. His phone no. is 800-889-3826 or 860-872-0018.

I have done 3 cars & a dune buggy & had all the glass cut at local glass shops. They can only do flat glass to my knowledge. Total of 21 pieces, I used architectual gray it gives a slight tint to the glass. Much cheaper as there isn't any shipping etc.

Dennis Carpenter has the best rubber seals in my humble opinion. Drake also makes them. So far as I know they are the only two that actually make them and supply all of the dealers.

Hi all; Here in the Northwest; we use Sanders Glass in Vancouver WA. They have the bug patterns developed 30 yrs ago. Advertized in the V8 Times and the Early V8 Ford Club books. Newc
