1939 FORD COUPE -- STREET ROD – HOT ROD PROJECT

Up For sale is a 1939 Ford Coupe (Standard) that would make a great Hot Rod or Street Rod once completed. This Coupe was originally built several years ago by previous owners.

Engines & Transmission
This '39 Coupe has a 429/460 Ford Short Block installed for mock up. It is a 2 bolt main motor, not sure what it came out of .The transmission is a Ford Top Loader 4-Speed installed for mock up. I am not sure what year or what it originally came out of either. Transmission has aftermarket Scatter Shield installed. Both the motor and transmission are used for mock up only and do not run, both will need to be rebuilt.

Exterior
Body is all "Original" Ford Steel and has a 4" Recessed Firewall. Nice overall body in pretty good shape with rust in the common locations on these Coupes ie. lower doors, lower front section of rear quarter panels just behind doors and rear tail pan section below trunk but is easily repairable. Yes, I have the Driver's Side Head Light Housing Assembly. I do have both factory running boards for this Coupe that are in decent shape. Coupe does come with rear bumper, front bumper is missing. I do have the factory Cowl Vent which is in very good condition.

Interior
I have most of the window frames for this coupe & window tracks, there is no glass. This Coupe has the original dash that is good condition but is missing all gauges. Has custom 12 -- Point Roll Cage and there is no flooring in this Coupe, it was cut out for custom frame and roll cage.

Front & Rear Suspension and Frame
This '39 Ford Coupe has a Custom 2" x 3" Square Tubing Frame with a Custom 12-Point Cage. Has Mustang II front suspension and has Chrome Rack and Pinion. Coupe has a narrowed Ford 9" rear end from what appears to be a late Ford model passenger car, it has a 3rd Member but I believe it is just the housing, no gears. Rear end is a 4-Link suspension is just mocked up and is not fully welded in. At this time it has square tubing struts to keep body off of tires. Bar going across top of rear frame rails is for support to keep the body from rolling in since there is no flooring. Has 4-Wheel Disc Brakes from a late model Ford passenger car.

Paint
This Coupe is in primer right now

Tires & Wheels
Front wheels are Drag Stars 15" x 3.5"
Front tires are Mickey Thompson Sportsman - 26" x 7.50" -- 15's
Rear wheels are Drag Stars 15" x 15"
Rear tires are HUGE Mickey Thompson Sportsman 33" x 21.50" -- 15's
