1939 ford coupe deluxe

not that old

wondering....was there any insulation installed between the headline and the roof of a 1939 ford coupe deluxe. The inside of the roof seems to have a glue on it and was wondering if there was anything between the roof and the headliner of this model. thanks in advance

It was originally installed to minimise a " drumming " or vibration through the roof sheet metal.
Have a look in Bob Drakes Catalogue.

Be sure to install a better quality sound and heat reflector type insulation if you want to stay cooler during the summer. The OEM insulation was minimal.
