1939 express rear bumper ideas/pictures

I have a 39 1 ton express. As far as I know they never came with a rear bumper. I spent lots of time searching for pictures of any 38 or 39 or 40 express and at this point I think I have seen all the available pictures on google. So far none have a bumper. So I am looking for pictures and ideas for a rear bumper

All of the trucks I have had were equipped with shop built heavy duty bumpers. Contact your local blacksmith.

Here are four pics from three of my tonners. Pic #1 is my '38 with the bumper some PO built. #2 and 3 are my '47 tonner before and after I built the rear bumper a bit and #4 is my current '46 tonner with the bed and bumper off a parts truck '47 tonner. You can see one is only limited by his imagination. I use scrap steel and bolts etc so that when I build or modify a bumper it still looks like some small town guy (without good equipment or much skill) put it together.

I like the red truck with the silver bumper. That’s sort of what I want mine to look like but installed so it’s not sticking out as much. Only the same width as the box with the tail lights sticking out the end
