1939 Dashboard lights.

I’m getting ready to install gauges in my 39 Pickup. I looked over the gauges (I have two sets of originals) and cannot see any bulb sockets.

Prior to taking them apart I just thought I’d ask. Obviously one of you have dealt with this before.

Bulbs attach to the clips on the side of the speedometer and gauge cluster.

It wasn't one of Ford's better ideas. The same set-up is in the 36 Fords and even when using LEDs for bulbs, it still doesn't help much in getting light to the gauges. Terry

I see that. I’ll likely install a map light to see the gauges better when needed.
