Recently bought a box of molding to finish the moldings on my 38deluxe. In the box there were a few pieces that were not for the deluxe sedan Tudor. Please take a look. The top is for my 38 rr quarter. The middle is marked as a coupe, but not sure. The bottom looks like the top but a tad longer and more of an aggressive curve that the top. Also have some 4 door molding too.

I just did some measuring on our two 38 deluxes, the quarter molding on the coupe is 68'', the door molding is 33 1/4'.....the conv. coupe is...quarter molding is 53''..the door molding is 39 3/8''....have a quarter molding was told was for a 38 standard 2 door sedan, its 53''....hope this helps..if you have any drivers side hood moldings for sale, let me know. Thanks

I will measure them all when I get home. This is extremely helpful! Yes they will be for sale once I can determine what is what. Thanks

Fordv8j I bought this box with the intention of cutting and splicing moldings together to make a pair of hood molding. Sucessful at making the set and this is what I have left. Called a guy in Ohio that had a set and he laughed at me saying they are made of UNOBTANIUM and if I wanted his crushed set it would cost me $400. Kindly said nope.

Were you able to match the color at the weld? You made a set? Only the driver side hood is unobtainable!

Why the drivers side. I cut the good portion off the front molding and spliced in a door molding for the back half. The color of the weld is pretty spot on. I bought my car without any hood moldings. The rest of the moldings and bright work on the car are not perfect. Dings tarnished... was looking for the same result with the hood

Measured my trim for 38 deluxe 2-door sedan.1/4 molding 58 1/2",door molding 39 1/2".Hood moldings should all be the same.39 standard moldings are the same width as 38 except 38 has a smooth curve to it and 39 has a raised seam like a v.Also located differently than a 38.

I laid individual trim pieces on floor and measured each piece along their length. So yes including the curve.

Morning l am still trying to determine what the lower moldings are from. The middles are comb coupe and sold. The bottoms are about 60.5". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
