1938 ford assembly line video

One curious operation... At the trim line transfer to body storage, @ 4:27, nozzles below the line fill the body with a gas of some sort. Let's get a few ideas as to the purpose if this operation?

One possibility: Steam, blown in to shrink/tight up headliner wrinkles.

Another idea: That's the installation of the "New Car Smell".

Thank you. Very hands on work. I like to think one of the 38 Coupes could be the one I have today.
 
And a tack spitter in action near the beginning. Sad at the end where they all had to open their jackets to get out.
