1937 V8-60 engine. I bought this engine as a runner and I had it running today by pouring some gas down the carb throat. It ran for a few seconds and then died, I checked and it had lost spark and I did not pursue it any further.
The gentleman I got this engine form said it has a miss, and he felt it was a stuck valve. I did not have it running long enough to make any diagnosis. He said the engine was not stuck when he removed it from the vehicle.
Here is what I do know: Will run. Has a Ford 94 carburetor. Aluminum intake and ONE aluminum head. Motor mount on the left side has been trimmed off at some point in it's life. Water pumps turn freely.
Complete with the stand. Priced at $2200.00. I wiill gladly skid, crate and quote delivery anywhere. All I need is your zip code, tell me if it is a commercial or residential delivery and if you would require a lift gate to unload. Of course, you are welcome to inspect in my warm shop and we can load it up.
