Up for sale are two '37 Ford V8-60 front tube axles. If you are looking at this ad, you know what they are and how difficult they are to acquire. These two here took several years to land... and alas, the project never got completed. so here they are:
First one is stock. $450
Second one has a lot of polishing work done by Dave Mann at Roadsters.com, and he charges $350 for the polishing work. See his link at: http://www.roadsters.com/axles/#pol
This is in preparation for plating (an additional procedure not yet done), OR if you are crazy adventuresome, perhaps you could go with bare polished metal and use Gibbs Oil.
In my opinion, more work needs to be done for show-finish, plus could stand re-buffing since it's been in storage. But it's a very nice looking axle just the same. Sell $650
Prices are firm, these axles are tough to get and that polishing work isn't cheap, either.
SoCal guys... I can meet you in the areas of Big Bear, Redlands, or Rialto.
