Ordered a new knob and it is not like the one on my truck.

It has two mounting screws and is rectangle shape.

The knob on my truck is round and installed permanatly with a rivet type fastener.

What I did was order the one in the catalog that was listed for pick up. It list as 35-39.

I didin't look at the one in my truck first just figured it would be right.

The one they show that looks like mine is listed as 32-34.

I'd call the vendor you bought it from and explain the situation. They should be glad to ship you the correct knob you need.

What I don't like is when you order a part that requires fastners and for instance say a knob like that, they sell the fastener seperatly from the knob but don't explain that in their catelog. Seems like they have to nickle and dime you to death on some stuff.

Note to Carpenter, Drake, Vintique or whomever......if the reproduction part you sell requires fasteners include them with the part, not sold seperately. It's just common sense and courtesy.

Sounds like Vintique stuff. Half of what they claim is just incorrect. Examples, Rubber gas pedal for 35 pickup. 38 and up door striker plates listed as 35-37 PU.

I have not seen correct glove box door handles available for 35-37 Ford pickups. I need one for my 37, also. If you find a source for correctly shaped ones, please post it or pm me. O&T

I guess their catalog listing shows the culprit in this case. If the listing is for 35-39 pickups, it is another in the huge number of assumptions the reproduction people make that vehicles use the same parts for a wider range of yerars than they actually did. It is a shame that the vendors do not do their homework.
