I am converting my 1937 Ford to Hyd brakes. Can I use my original 37 drums with 1939 backing plates? Thanks

You might want to consider using '42-48 Ford backing plates and brake parts in lieu of the earlier '39-41..
The '42-48 brakes are much better than the '39-41 brakes. The '37-39 drums will work perfectly with the '42-48 brakes..
Been there, done that...

Or go one better yet and bolt on 53-56 F-100 brakes work nice and the parts are avalible at most parts out lets

tiquer, the F-100 brakes are good, but you can't run the stock 37 wheels.
