I'm interested in learning more about the differences between the business coupe and the standard coupe offered for 1937. What should I be looking for to distinguish both models? Thanks.

I don't think Ford ever listed a 1937 Ford coupe as a "business coupe",but information in V8 Club restoration book shows the Model 74 (60hp) standard coupe as #770-A (5 window) the 770-B was same body in Deluxe trim passenger side tailamp, chrome windshield and grill (unlike standard painted )and running board trim moulding, also Deluxe interior banjo wheel, etc. The 720 Club Coupe was available in Deluxe version only it of course had rear seating. With rare exceptions the 60 hp was available only in Standard form or in some commercial models or special order.

37 Coupe,

Thanks for your well written response. That information helped out a lot. I hadn't had much luck finding "business coupe" photos, but as soon as I typed in "club coupe" numerous popped up and I was able to tell the difference between the two. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Rozzi.

rozzi,

You should get a copy of the restoration guidelines for the 1937 Ford from the Early Ford V8 Club (earlyfordv8.org) to help in your understanding of the car.
