keith oh Well-known member Sep 24, 2016 #2 Hook a wire on one post of a 6 volt battery,(any DC battery in the 6 to 9 volt range ) run the wire thru the loop on the back of the guage then just touch it to the other post. If the meter needle jumps it is operating.
