1937 Coupe

Just a friendly suggestion, you might want to check out the EFV8 Club's 1937 Ford book. It has all kinds of good detail and specifications you might be interested in.

As Seth has suggested you can find all the facts on '37 Fords by purchasing the Early Ford V-8 Club's 1937 Ford book. www.earlyfordv8.org. Look at the left hand menu and you will find to books for sale. They are in the "on-line store"

There was a standard plain jane coupe and a deluxe coupe but it wasn't till 1938 that there was much difference between the two. The 1938 standard looks a lot like the 37 coupe with the deluxe being an entirely new model. The standard cars only had painted windshied frame where the deluxe was chrome plated. Single windsield wiper and more plain interior accoutrements.

There was also the '37 Club Coupe with a back seat and tip out quarter windows. It has a longer roof line. I was always partial to them, but production was very low and in '38 production was even lower.

The 1937 coupes also used two different front seats, the two piece back style that fold forward and the one piece back style that lifts up to access the space behind the seat. I have also seen at least three different package tray styles used for the area behind the front seat.

'37 Ford Coupes are cool:)
Now a '37 Roadster THAT is a rare animal, last year Ford offered a Roadster and there weren't many sold. I've only seen them in pictures!

Two Models of 37 Coupes- Coupe (5w) & Club Coupe.
Three versions Deluxe Coupe, Standard Coupe & Deluxe Club Coupe
Six available coupes you could buy Given BOTH 60hp & 85hp power plant offerings with the 1937 DeLuxe Coupe (5w) with the 60hp V8 version being the most rare of the bunch with just 33 units produced. The DeLuxe Club Coupe 60hp version a close second at 70 units produced "Domestically".

Even though the "pick up" bed accessory was "offered", it was not an "official" model offering in the 1937 Ford line-up of models

ALSO another book recommendation up there with the 37 EFV8 club restoration guide would be "The Early Ford V8: As Henry Ford Built It" by Francis & DeAngilis. Rare is the day, absolutely the week & 100% each month that I am not in this book reading, researching and learning!!!! Absolute "MUST HAVE" if you have any interest in 1932-1938 Early Ford V8's!!!! IMO
