Are these the correct Numbers for 1936 water pumps, 68-8505 & 68-8506? Didn't see anything in the green bible or the 1935-36 ford book

Yes, plus grease fitting boss will also tell you being at an angle/45 dg. 35's are straight out

the numbers 68-8505 and 68-8506 are casting numbers and not complete assembly numbers. The complete assembly numbers for your pumps are 68-8503-A and 68-8502-A respectively.
