1936 steering box rebuild

[36 flathead]

Does anyone have info on rebuilding a 1936 steering box. I set up the worm gear with with shims for zero play. I cant figure out the adjustment on the bottom plate .

The instructions are also in Fords Mechanical Service Bulletins, in several places with different dates.

How did you make out with your steering box rebuild. I have a 36 1 1/2 ton truck that needs to be done. Wondering wether to just send it out or try it myself.

Get the book,lots of 36 stuff in it. I have 2 of them but not for sale. Mac's has them amoung others i imagine. ken ct.
