1936 rear window seal

I'm looking for a rear window lower seal for a 1936 3 window coupe. The car has a wind-down window which functions as it should. It had no seal at all but should there be? Or is it intended that the water is allowed to get in but is then routed out?

I've not had a look behind the panels as it was professionally trimmed and I really don't want to take it apart just to have a peek.

The roll down rear window should have a metal trough below it and there should be a drain hose on the passenger side that goes down in front of the inner fender and ends above the running board outside the car. If you have a drain hose, then you should be okay.

I don't have a 36 photo, but this is what a 34 looks like from the trunk side.
