1936 Pickup Horn

I’m looking for a horn or a pair of horns for my ‘36 pickup. I’m not sure what is correct. I see some that have a curved bell (projector) and some that are straight. Are the car and pickup horns the same? Can you interchange the curved and straight bells?
Any info on where to buy good used is appreciated. Thanks.
Tim

Thanks for the reply.

I saw the Moss page for these before I posted, but they do not list a horn for the truck, only for the “Passenger” so that was why I was asking if they were the same for car and truck. Also they specifically list a horn projector for the truck which is why I asked about interchange as well.

The shape shown in Post #2 is correct. The horn is the same for 1935 and 1936 pickups and big trucks. The deluxe version has the chromed top and horn projector while the standard version is all black paint. The standard offering was one horn but a second one could be added.

Thanks. Are the “passenger” horns on the Moss site the same as the truck horns? Asked another way, are the car horns the same as the pickup/truck horns?

Yes, 1935 Car, 1935-37 Pickup and Truck all use the same horn.

I can't vouch for the quality of the reproduction horns. I've heard that they aren't great, but that was a couple years ago.

Thanks for your answer. I’d rather buy used but having scoured the internet, I’ve found nothing. Repro at this point is my only choice.

It should be pointed out that the 'guts' of the horns are basically the same. The tops, the mounting brackets and horn projector are different over the years. And yes, there could be sound differences, but my 1936 Ford Pickup has the correct top and projector, but 1937 internals.
Only Henry knows for sure.
