1936 Pickup fender brackets

Can someone take a few detailed pictures of how the rear fender brackets are mounted on a 36 pickup? The fenders are misshapen somewhat so it is not clear which mounting holes line up on the bed

Thanks

I do a poor job of identifying my photos. I have some good pictures, but finding them is another thing. I do know one thing and that is to attach the bracket to the fender before attempting to mount it on the bed. My 2¢.

Hope this helps

The first picture is the outer edge of the driver's side rear fender
The second picture is the fender bracket attaching to the frame

That first picture of the fender brace is of a front fender. The outside mounting hole location is different on the rear fender. I will have to find a picture. The second picture is of the rear fender.

Thanks. I was very confused.
The hole in the fender doesn’t seem possible to line up the same way.
I was looking at different years to see if there was a difference.

The outer bolt for the rear fender brace goes thru a hole in the face of the rear fender rather than the edge as shown in the picture of the front fender. Hopefully this makes sense. I tried to find a picture but couldn't find anything that would help and the fenders on my pickup are damaged in that area. Probably because the bolts pulled thru the sheetmetal and a previous owner performed a farm-style repair.

This is very interesting. The hole location for the fender is not close. Both sides are the same
I have a little wiggle room on the fender but not that much

It has been too many years since I did my 35 PU but it seems I remember the rear hole on the 37 pickup rear fender is different somehow different from the 35-36. It's all sort of fuzzy now after so long.

The difference could be -- original bracket or reproduction bracket.
I had both -- and found that the original one was the one that lined up. Please note, the brackets don't fit the contour of the fender as much as they supply support and rigidness for the edge of the fender.

I think I may have 37 fenders. So I located a hole where it seems to look correct.

Do you think the fender needs some work? :)

Bringing this back up. Will 37 rear fenders bolt up to a 36 bed? It appears to me that Ill need to move one of the rear bolt holes that go thru the bed and into the fender. Thanks T

IIRC, 1937 fenders will bolt to a 1936 bed just fine, with the difference in the mount hole at the rear. Also the front inside of the fenders are different (you do not see this from the outside with the apron on), there is a different shape to the hidden area of the fender to clear the cable brakes on the 1937.
