L lmarsch36 Junior Member Jul 26, 2013 #1 Should there be an "O" ring or gasket installed on the oil pump where it attaches to the block of a 36 flathead? There is a circular indentation on the oil pump shaft where it slides into the block as if it's for an "O" ring.
