1936 LB Rear Main Seal Retainer

I cannot quite read the attached service bulletin. Does anyone know if the 78-6335 upper rear seal can be used directly as a replacement for the 18-6335 seal?

Yes, it is a direct replacement

Thanks for the information Brian, I may just have to use that surplus 78-6336 I have that doesn't fit my main cap if I can't get the 18-6335 out in good shape. It just has that drain hole back to the sump that would end up at 12 o'clock.

No Zeke, the top and bottom are different...you cannot use your 78-6336 in place of the 18-6335; you would need to use 78-6335

Dang it. It figures, I thought the only difference might be the drain hole. Thanks again for setting me straight.
