Nitrophyl is a type of material used to make carburetor floats, known for being resistant to fuel and not absorbing gasoline, unlike traditional brass floats. It is often preferred for its durability and performance, especially in applications involving ethanol-blended fuels.I believe that material is "nitrophyl",I replaced the float in my '37 several years ago with it. Works great!
