1936 Ford hollow slotted lifters

Could anyone tell me about the pros and cons of using the 18-6500 hollow slotted valve lifter in 1936 Ford LB motor with the newer straight valves.

I've no actual experience with what you're asking because I've never done that, but I have heard tell that the later straight end valves can/will punch a hole in the top of those earlier hollow slotted type lifters. You'd be best to use the 8ba lifters or the well made adjustables.

These should be the right ones with the small surface area..
