1936 Ford Gas Tank Question

I suspect an issue with my original gas tank on my 36 Ford.

I have an electric pump that continues to run but won't pull fuel.

It has been relocated to below the tank and the gas cap is vented.

I think there is an issue with the pickup tube.

I plan on pulling the sending unit on top of the tank what should i expect to see with the pickup tube in the tank?

You should be able to see the pickup tube once the sending unit is out. Sounds like rust plugging the tube or the tube has broken off near the fitting.

Tube looks like clean metal and in good shape... did find this at the end of the pickup tube though....
