1936 Ford Coupe Moonshine Runner Seat

I bought an unrestored, 5 Window Coupe a couple years ago that was a documented Moonshine Runner in Alabama in the late 50's-early 60's. I've never noticed any features that I would associate with runnin shine other than mechanical upgrades until today when I noticed the backrest section of the seat is hinged and has the same support as the deck lid. Is this a factory option or is it something the previous owner had done?

Johnny, That is factory correct, it was called a business coupe. Mostly used by salesmen.

I had a 1940 Ford business coupe it was made and hinged the same way.
