I had my 1936 Ford LB motor rebuilt, And after it ran for about an hour I noticed the there was a small amount of oil leaking behind the front pulley.
I removed the front pulley and is seems to very serviceable ( not much wear on the sleeve) It looks like the oil pan gasket was installed between the the upper half and lower half of the seal up to the crank shaft. My question is , Is this the proper way to install the pan gasket, Or should the upper and lower seal butt up to each other and the oil pan gasket terminate at the seal.
any information would be helpful thanks Dave T
