1936 exhaust installation

I've seen here that by letting the front suspension hang, you could snake in the original exhaust pipe between spring and axel. Mine not hanging quite enough ( short by about 1/2 inch) any way to increase that gap? May need to remove the suspension link, however that is becoming an issue as not a lot of room to get a good swing of hammer to the link. Any one else had success from a different approach? This is the passenger side NOS pipe. Would like to avoid cutting it shorter if at all possible.

I don't believe you will find an "option B".
You will need to get that spring out of the way one way or another. It is a close fitment but doable.
