Hi Guys,
Anyone know the fuse size for a 6 volt electric fuel pump? My car came with an electric pump without a fuse.
Thanks,

Fuse type/size is dependant on the pump and wiring. Do you know what type/mfg pump you have? Some are gear driven and some are a pulse type. Fusing is generally done to protect the wire size. Find out what pump, and what amps the pump requires, that'll give you a real good idea of wire size needed and fuse size.

Put in a 10 AMP keep some spares with you. If you blow a 10 AMP fuse, go to a 15 or 20. I would not go past that. I do not know of an electric Fuel Pump that would take more than a 20 AMP Fuse to run it. Most of the time, the failure is from a dead short. A 20 AMP should protect a 16 Ga. wire with no problem.

Just my opinion.
