1936 1 1/2 Ton Frame Paint

I pulled the bed off of my 1 1/2 ton truck to pressure wash everything and replace the wood supports and flatbed bottom. It all cleaned up pretty well. It's amazing how many grease fittings are on this thing!
My frame is painted a dark blue, the same as the fenders, running boards and metal portion of the bed. Is this correct, or was this black from the factory.

I was considering doing some painting while I had the bed off and everthing was exposed.

Any info would be appreciated, Thanks

if the truck is your avatar, then yes the frame was supposedly painted blue along with fenders, etc as this was a demonstrator truck--I am sure someone else will either confirm or denie this

Yes, the truck is the one in my avatar. I have heard about and seen pictures of 1 1/2 ton demonstrator trucks. I have owned this truck for several years and just recently started working on it. I have often wandered if this indeed could be one of the demonstrator trucks. The V8 on the door is consistent with the pics I've seen and it has the original flathead V8 along with what seems like the deluxe trim package with dual tail light etc. I would love to know more about the demonstrators and be able to confirm if this indeed is one. I can trace the trucks history back to the early 70's in arizona and California but not prior to that. The body and frame are excellent and the bed is original with the Ford script on the back.
Let's hear it guys! What do you know about these.
