1935 windshield seal

I have a '35 Phaeton. Not sure if I have a correct windshield as I'm unable to insert a C & G '35 seal--it's clearly too wide to slip into my 1/8" wide channel. My windshield is also slightly smaller than my friend's '35 Phaeton. I've used soap and a putty knife w/o success. I've called wholesalers like Steal Rubber, Soft Seal and Precision but they have no narrower seal.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I once had a 35 roadster and the orig frame was badly rusted.Bought a Speedway (made by Mr roadster).The Drake rubber fit the orig frame also besides the repro one.The frames purchased now are furnished with the "T" rubber.
