1935 Rocky mountain drums

I pulled the wheels off of a 1935 pickup that I had purchased and was pleasantly surprised to find the front drums were fairly decent Rocky Mountain drums. I was wanting to use these drums on another project I'm a little farther along with. My question is the project I'm wanting to put them on has 1937 Spindles and 1940 backing plates. Will these fit? Or am I stuck using them on a 35-36 with mechanical brakes? I'm not even sure if your supposed to use those type of drums with a juice set up.....anybody?

'35 front drums won't work with those '40 backing plates. You will need to use '40 to '48 drums or the new reproduction drums on the front. You can use your '35 rear drums with '40-'48 rear backing plates. Which type wheels are are you planning to use? You probably already know this but I'll mention it anyway....'32-'35 wire wheels require spacers when used with '40-'48 drums. '40-'48 type wheels used on '35 drums will require removal of small projections on the face of the drum so that wheels fit properly.

Thanks John. I was afraid you were going to say that. I'm used to Model A stuff and I had a gut feeling it wasn't going to work. I have the 40 front drums so, no problem there. I'm going to be running the 1935 16" wire wheels so, yes I was going to do the spacers. Thanks again.
