1935 Rear Window Seal

Is there a rubber seal for the rear window of a 35 Fordor? Or do I just put rubber U channel around the glass and hold it in place with the inside molding? Thanks, Bob

The rear window in my '35 Fordor is really fogged up bad and needs replacing. I got new glass cut and ready to install. I thought this would be an easy job until I tried to get the old glass out. It is so bonded in place that I could not get it out without breaking the glass which I would rather not do. I decided to hold up on this job until I had a better understanding of how this should be done. Since then, almost a year has passed and this has still not happened. Therefore, I can be of no help to you on how this is done, and like you, will be follow this post hoping for some good ideas/answers.

BB, My apologies if I seem to be hijacking your post.

Part # B-7042064 not bonded. I'm sure Everyone has them.

This may not be initially bonded during installation, but after being in place about 79 years has self bonded to the window surround. Looking for suggestions on removing old glass without using extreme force and breaking things.

Couldn't find B-7042064 but I did fine B-704220. I'm going to try some 78-735130 that I have laying around.

John, Could you pour something like "Goo Gone" from the outside to soften the seal adhesion? Let it soak for awhile and maybe use a thin putty knife between the body and glass. Bob
