1935 pickup taillight color??

Can someone tell me if the taillights and mounting brackets on a 1935 pickup are black or body color?

I believe that they are body color. Here's a photo of Bruce Engstrum's original 36 pickup.

Mine was black but my truck was also black so can't really say. My original taillight however on my pickup had a steel trim ring, not stainless.

I understand Bruce's PU has been re-painted one time so we can't say for sure from that photo. I believe the tail lights were black, but Don is the Guru.

Lawson, I hadn't realized that the truck had been repainted. I should have noticed that. I withdraw my comments!!

Its interesting to note that the tail light body on panel deliveries, sedan deliveries, and panel trucks was coordinated with the vehicles body color. The license bracket, in all cases,remained black. I have enclosed a partial image from an early 35 "Combined Chassis Units List" that shows how they designated these tail light assemblies. I am also enclosing several factory images which appear to show pickups with body color tail lights.
