1935 pickup tail light problems

I just installed some LED 6V headlights instead of my H6006 7" halogen bulbs. They work great when driving, but as soon as I step on the break they go almost out. If I replace my tail/brake lights with LED bulbs will this fix the situation? If so does anyone recommend a certain bulb? How does the light fixture come apart so I can get to the bulb or am I missing something..

thank You, Paul

we had the same problem with our tail lights. it was the ground. You have to trace the grounding of that taillight to find where the grounding problem is and fix it. our '35 the problem was to much paint that stopped the ground from getting to that tail light. Mike

I solder ground wires to my tail and head light sockets and run them to a good ground connection on the frame.
