1935 headlight assembly woes

Trying to assemble my 35 pickup headlights and it is a pain in the butt. Got all the clips I was told I needed and then I found this pic on here. What clips are the grayish looking ones?? I do not have anything that locks the reflector to the rim like these. Also do not seem them offered anywhere. Also the clips on the back of the reflector do not really fit the square hole in the bucket very well. Are these supposed to snap in?

Sacramento Vintage Ford has the lens retainer clips. It is part #06069-1. I think some of the other on-line stores also have them.

Those clips are junk. I never got the to work on my 36. The clips that come with new lens
Fit and work ferfectly. only five minutes to install. Good luck

Yes I have those, those only hold the lens to the trim ring. The clips in this pic appear to be holding both the lens and the reflector at the same time.

wire clips hold lens in to rim----copper ones hold reflector to bucket ---two steps --gasket between

The round wire clips hold just the glass in place, the photo you found is not assembled correctly. You will find flats in the glass rear of lens where they assemble the lens to the ring. The flat clips with the bulge hold the reflector into the bucket, snap in place. Cork gasket in the front of the reflector. When you remove the ring just the round wire clips and glass lens come off with the ring, the reflector stays in the bucket.
