1935 Ford Spare Tire Band

Is there different bands that go around the spare tire on a 1935 Ford. I have a band without a loop on the bottom left hand side ( when installed) and one with the loop. Are both correct for a 35 Ford or did they all come originally with the loop at the bottom

All of the '35 Ford spare tire cover bands that I have seen do have the loop, but even as old as I am, I have not seen it all and never will. Who really knows what left the factory on these cars back in the day. Also, I'm betting that same cover band design was used on other year and model Fords and it could also have been used by other manufacturers, both with and without that loop. JMO

Here are a couple of pictures of the loop at the bottom of the spare tire cover for a 35 Ford. As I said earlier the one on my car does not have this loop but I have others with the loop. Which is correct?

Okay, I was picturing the locking hubcap strap or band at first. I don't know that I have seen one without the loop.

it could be the thumb loop has broken of the over cover, I have seen most with the loop.
