1935 Ford Sedan - Body tag location?

I found a 1935 Ford 2D Humpback sedan rolling chassis for sale. No engine. The seller has a title, and I want to be certain that it matches the title. Does the car have a body tag and where should it be located?
I am used to the Model T's and they use the engine to ID the vehicle. Any help would be appreciated.

The serial number used for registration is stamped three places on top of the left frame rail. The first one is near the steering box and visible from the engine compartment. The other two are further back and covered by the body. The body tag on the firewall is not supposed to be used for registration (if it was used it was done in error by the DMV).

If it has a transmission in it, the number was also on the top of the bell housing. If it was not change out, it should match the number on the frame. Ed

Charlie and Ed - thanks for the responses! I will look for it once he digs out the title. Hopefully next week.
Mike - The owner indicated it is a '35 and by the looks of it, it is. I'll post the number once I get it. It is in rough shape, but definitely restorable. Is there a reason you want the number posted?

Guys,
I could not resist. The title matched the frame and transmission. It is a 1935 Tudor Humpback deluxe sedan. VIN # 18 1900543. Body is good and has potential. Undecided on whether to restore or make into a hot rod. I usually restore what I find, but this would require a lot to get it back to original.
A 1940 V8 engine came with it, although it is in parts as he was in the process of rebuilding it. Also, a 1942 frame, front and rear end came with it as well as a bunch of other parts. This 1942 frame has a VIN # 18-6839150, but no title, but is in very good shape.
This is my first V8, so I'll need a lot of advice from you guys whan I start the project.

Very rare to have the transmission match the frame number as a lot of these old cars had their transmission replaced. To me this would add to the value of it.

yep....thanks for getting back with the confirmation of your numbers....don't let the transmission get away from that frame....original ****** with original frame?? priceless....lol..have fun....Mike

Thanks guys! Any idea on what a good price would have been? It's a little late now, but would like to know "ball park" value to see if I paid a fair price. I paid $2500 for everything. This included everything mentioned above plus new floor pans, a beautiful set of original front and rear 1942 seats, 2 extra grills, an engine stand, 2 rechromed bumpers, and 3 extra rims.

You made out like a bandit. The grills are worth as much as that if they are in good shape.

Dude,
Thanks! The grills are rusty and originally were chrome. Two of them were bent, but I already straightened out the worse one. It should be a fun project.
