My 1935 pickup doesn’t have door weatherstripping, did they come with a door seal of some kind?

As far as I can tell no. I am working on a 39 and there is a rubber strip on the cab at the bottom of the door and that’s all. I watched a few videos recently where they use black foam peel and stick rubber for industrial use like truck tool box lids. I will use the same stuff to seal my doors at the hinges where I have a big gap.

I will try and link the video

Your 1935 pickup originally came with a windlace strip on each door which went from the bottom front door corner all the way up over and down to the bottom rear door corner of the inside edge of the door opening. It's held on with small twist nails. The web part of the windlace was covered by the interior cardboard panels and screws used for the roof rail windlace and trim retainer strips.

The bottom of the door had a rubber weather strip held in place with the door panel push pins and two screws on the bottom corners.

Attached are some excerpts from my book which provide the details and images.
