1935 Ford Pickup Seat

Hi All,
Just got the seat cushion springs for my '35 truck and realized I'm missing something! The seat riser is in the truck, but I believe there is supposed to be a wood panel between the seat riser and the seat springs.

Does anyone have a picture of this, or know where you can get one?

I have only one picture of the piece, and don't mind breaking out the jig saw and making it if need be.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!!!

Here are some pix. Note relationship of spring to base. Hinge areas are routed out underneath, as is the bottom edge for the seat cover.

Zimmco,

Do you make and sell these seat spring wooden bases. I would be interested in purchasing one from you for my 1936 Ford pickup, if you do.

THANK YOU! These look great, I had seen the picture elsewhere on Ford Barn of the wood and metal base comparison, but the spring to base picture is invaluable!!

I checked with Roy Nacewicz and he currently does not make this wooden base for the bottom seat spring. He does not have the pattern or template drawing for this. Roy does make excellent quality wood parts, I have purchased from him before, along with some of his mounting hardware for cab, fenders, bed etc....

Yes, there are 3 holes on each side, on a line perpendicular to the back edge. I'm leaving for a trip until next week. I can get you the dimensions when I return.

I got a new plywood piece from the place I got my new seat springs. Can't temember the name right now but I'll try to dig it up in the next couple days.

Scott H....I would be interested in the contact information as to where you purchased the wooden base for the bottom seat spring for my '36 Ford pickup. Please post when you have time.

Thank you,
Bruce from Ca.

When I built my seat base I didnt cut the rectangular holes in it. I wasnt interested in keeping it completely stock and I figured it would help keep any mice out. I did add a couple of small vent holes. Seems like the bottom seat cushion is the first place those little buggers move into. I still have the original that I could trace. According to Lebaron 's they fit '35 through '41.
