1935 ford Model 48 remove door panels

First remove the garnish moldings. Then look for small screws with cup washers on each lower corner and remove them. Also look for any other screws that may hold the panel. The panel is held on with spring clips and I would recommend that you go to your local auto parts store and look for a good tool that is specifically for removing door panels. It will save from damaging the panel.

In case someone hasn't told you already, the door handles and window crank handles are held onto their shafts by a small pin that will have to be driven out before they can be removed. The handles have a spring behind them that keep the door panel pressed against the back sides of the handles to keep the small pin from falling out. You will need to push and hold the panel away from the handle in order to see the small pin that will need to come out. I recommend you do this process first before removing any of the panel screws. Give it a try and you'll get the hang of it. :)

Harbor Freight sells the correct tool for releasing all of the perimeter panel fasteners and
the price is very reasonable
