1935 Barn Find

It might be a tad rusty :) but looks like it's pretty much all there. I'd definitely hang in there & wait 'til they come to their senses & decide to unload it. I've seen far rustier projects that have turned out just fine.

In Michigan they rust from the bottom up, next to the ocean they rust from the top down. It's a shame when people won't sell & let some one who is interested restore an antique of any type.
Gary.

Wait a second you guys. That's a complete car, all the parts and all original. What's a little rust here and there?

3 years ago I started with about half a car and half the parts and what there was left was rusted thru including the frame up about 8 inches into the body , doors, and tailpan. With the advice of Fordbarners, parts bought here on the Barn and Ebay, and help from a retired body man and and a lousy $30K
I've got my Fat Fender dream.

I guess we all look at it and think of all the work, but what a pretty car it could be if some one would spend all the time on it. I think that one is worse than mine was. Thanks for the pics.

The story never changes, when someone acquires this once beautiful 3W Coupe, the restoration process will haunt you till it gets eventually done. There are still sedans and parts cars with minimal rust out there to obtain for the rebuild. Yes, it will get done one day.....a lot of us have 'been there, done that'....not a question of dollars....just the passion to save that nice ole Ford.

I agree with you, Robert- we may start a project trying to watch every dollar and stick to some kind of a budget but at one point the passion kicks in and budgets become like 'smoke in the breeze'. (at least that's been my experience). Whatever it takes to preserve these gems,(if you can afford it). Best of luck to whoever gets that 3-window and brings it back to life!

Nice Barn find ,Send it down here .This one was a stock car had major surgery, 100 K spent on panel, roof damage all lower body .Fenders bobbed. pillars swaying in the breeze

Here is where the car gets to be a hotrod. Restoration is way too expensive but those boys over on the HAMB will tackle anything........
