1935-40 rear crossmember angle

392: The angle of the rear cross member where it bends down from the top surface of the side frame rail is 20 degrees. It's hard to measure with the car body on the frame.
Here is a frame rail picture on Ebay. I hope it helps. There must be a Fordbarner who has the body off tha frame and can also tell you. All the best. JIM

Does anyone know what the rear crossmember angle is on the 35-40 cars? Thanks.

Without more information, pictures, etc. it's a little hard to visualize all that you might be dealing with. Assuming your frame is up to original shape (rear end rails are often bent down some over the years) the spring support areas on the front and rear crossmembers should be in line with the top of the central part of the frame (all basically at the same angle - level or not). If there's nothing in the way this can easily be checked with a straight edge laid across the straight middle part of the frame and drawing a string line between the two crossmember's spring supporting points. Good luck - hope I haven't made this too confusing! This image might help put it all in perspective:
