Dear Colleages
I´m from Argentina and is too difficult to get some small parts here. So, now I have to build myself the gas tank sending unit gasket, Could anyone please give me a diagram with the dimensions and hole positions. Thanks

Do you have the sending unit or the gas tank? Measure the hole in the gas tank. That is the ID of the gasket. Measure the OD of the sending unit, that is the OD of the gasket. Material is usually corkpream about 1/16" thick, you can use other fuel proof materials. Cut the gasket and then lay it over the sending unit and use a pen or pencil to mark the holes for 10-32 screws. punch the holes out and you have the gasket.

I just made a gasket for my 34 as described above. Used thin paper to make the pattern then used a hole punch for the screw holes.

Recommend you use a gasoline-resistant sealer on both sides of gasket. Check label on sealer. I expect products available to you are probably different. Typically sold here is Permatex Blue Label which is a one-part sealer and "should not be used in contact with gasoline. However, found in my local auto parts store "Seal-All" which is a two-part contact type adhesive which is resistant to gas, oil, alcohol, etc made by Fabricado por Eclectic Products in Pineville LA 71360.

Most auto parts stores have sheets in various sizes and thicknesses. The material is gasoline and oil resistant. I have bought these sheets several times to make a gasket I can't get or need immediately, most recently, last Summer.

Dear all.
Obviously if I had the original tank, I could do as Terry,OH says.
Unfortunately I have no the sending unit and neither the original gas tank.
For restoring the tank hole, I am looking for the original gasket dimensions.
Any help with the diagram of the gasket will be appreciated.

As I told you before, I don´t have the original tank and I'm trying restore it. For that reason one of the things I need now is the tank hole dimensions. So, I asked for the sending unit gasket dimensions who are the same than the tank hole

must be trying to make a tank is my guess. just a gasket would go in an envelope to make him happy, anyone got one?

Still a little confusion here, the hole and bolt pattern has to match the sending unit you are going to be using. I would make the pattern to match the sending unit. If you do not currently have the sending unit that might be the place to start. If I was attempting this I would locate a sending unit and then fabricate a pattern to match the sender and transfer that to the fuel tank.

I would not want to depend on a pattern without the parts in hand as ones the tank is cut you are going to be stuck with it!

Dimensions of B-9276 gas sender to gas tank gasket after market (1932 through 1935 Ford).

https://cgfordparts.com/ufolder/fordpart.php?number=B-9276

Outside diameter = 2.35" / 59.9mm
Inside diameter = 1.41" / 35.8mm

Screw hole diameter = .23" / 6mm
Screw hole bolt circle diameter = 1.92" / 48.9mm

Gasket thickness = 0.02" / 0.6mm
(I think the originals were thinner)

I agree with JSeery about having the sender in hand first.

THANKS a lot for your advices and help !!! especially to "Glennpn" who gave me the dimensions, those will be very useful to me. Best regards
